Possessive Pronouns | Притяжательные местоимения

These are the Russian possessive pronouns with their forms in different genders in the nominative case.

As for the possessive nouns "my", "your" and "our", they change in agreement with the word that they are connected to.


  • Masculine: мой дом | my house
  • Feminine: моя работа | my work
  • Neuter: моё время | my time
  • Plural: мои дети | my children

  • Masculine: твой дом / ваш дом | your house
  • Feminine: твоя работа / ваша работа | your work
  • Neuter: твоё время / ваше время | your time
  • Plural: твои дети / ваши дети | your children


  • Masculine: наш дом | our house
  • Feminine: наша работа | our work
  • Neuter: наше время | our time
  • Plural: наши  дети | our children

As for the possessive nouns "his", "her" and "their", they do not follow the same rule - they stay the same.

His (masculine gender):

  • Masculine: его дом | his house
  • Feminine: его работа | his work
  • Neuter: его время | his time
  • Plural: его дети | his children

Her (feminine gender):

  • Masculine: её дом | her house
  • Feminine: её работа | her work
  • Neuter: её время | her time
  • Plural: её дети | her children

Neuter gender:

For the neuter gender use the same forms as you would use for masculine gender. 

  • Masculine: его цвет | its color
  • Feminine: его длинна | its length
  • Plural: его размеры | its dimensions


  • Masculine: их дом | their house
  • Feminine: их работа | their work
  • Neuter: их время | their time
  • Plural: их дети | their children
