Первое лицо | First person:

The first person, in general, it is those who are speaking.

  • я | I
  • мы | we

 

Второе лицо | Second person:

The second person, in general, it is those who are listening.

  • ты | you
  • вы | you

"Ты" is informal and is used to address to one person. People use it to talk with their family members, friends, children, etc. "Вы" can be used in two ways. In one way it is used to address several people like when you're talking to a group. In the other way, it is formal and is used to address one person who can be a manager, professor, adult stranger, etc.

 

Третье лицо | Third person

The third person, in general, it is those who are neither speaking, nor listening.

  • он | he, it
  • она | she, it
  • оно | it
  • они | they

 

Unlike in the English language, where "he" and "she" are mostly used to talk about people, in Russian "он" and "она" all of them are used to talk about both people and objects. To know which pronoun to use with which word we need to know its gender. For example:

  • Работа, мама – она | work, mom
  • Нос, учитель – он | nose, teacher
  • Слово, окно – оно | word, window
